Letter written by the attorney of Sayyid Husayn's wife to the lower court, 1929
Sayyid Husayn coercively divorced his wife, in the presence of Sayyid Abu al-Qasim (prayer leader of ‘Ali mosque), with the wife waiving her mahr and the condition of no return after divorce. Now after five months, when she wants to marry another man, Sayyid Husayn claims that he wants to remarry her, even though her marriage contract has been abrogated.

Marriage agreement of Hajar, daughter of Mulla Nawruz ʻAli from Khuzan, and ʻAbd al-Rahim, son of the late Karbalayi Muhammad ʻAli from Khuzan. The mahr includes twenty-five tumans, part of a residential building in the Shamsabad neighborhood of Khuzan village, one-half of an acre in [illegible], thirty tumans to buy a property, a pair of gold earrings worth ten tumans, and ten tumans as the bridal gift.

Marriage contract of Khanum, daughter of Sayyid Mahmud Khan Mu‘tasam al-Dawlah, and ‘Ali Khan Sahibjam‘, son of Khan Baba Khan Sahibjam‘; the mahr is two thousand and five hundred tumans as well as a copy of the Qur’an, two rings, and a cashmere shawl. Five hundred tumans and the items were given to the bride and the rest remains the groom’s debt.

Marriage agreement of Fatimah, daughter of Mashhadi Karim son of ʻAli from Khuzan, and Ahmad Karkhayran from Khuzan, son of Ramazan ʻAli. The mahr includes twenty-six tumans and two thousand five hundred tumans, a share of a house in Shamsabad, Khuzan, fifty tumans to buy land for the bride, and ten tumans for gold and earrings. Marriage agreement of Munavvar, daughter of Fath Allah, son of Muhammad Baqir from Khuzan, and Ibrahim, son of Karbalayi Husayn Mubashir from Khuzan. The mahr includes twenty-six tumans and two-and-a-half riyals, one-sixth of a house in the Shamsabad neighborhood of Khuzan, half of an acre of land in Khuzan, and eight tumans to buy gold and earrings. Marriage agreement of Baygum Agha, daughter of Sayyid Karim son of Sayyid Habib Allah from Khuzan, and Sayyid Muhammad Taqi, son of Sayyid Hashim Furushani. The mahr includes one-twelfth of a house in Furushan village, and ninety tumans, of which twenty-six tumans and two-and-one-half riyals remain the groom's debt. The rest should be spent on gold, cotton wool, chintz, trays, and rugs. The groom's father transferred ownership of one-twelfth of the house to his son.

Marriage agreement of Humayun, daughter of Karbalayi Riza son of Sadiq from Khuzan, and Amir, son of the late Haj Abu al-Hasan from Andan. The mahr includes twenty-six tumans and two thousand five hundred dinars, part of a house in Andan village, a share of water and a building in Andan, and seven misqals [unit of weight] of gold worth eighteen tumans.
